A long-standing cooperative house, Mackenzie Heights Collective currently comprises five mature adults and one preteen. We enjoy a relatively drama-free, musical and laughter-filled, positive home, and admire the individual goals, talents, contributions and insights of each member. Occupations include teachers, scholars and natural products salespersons. Although a rental house, we are lucky to steward a comfortable heritage home, with assorted public spaces, wood-burning fireplace, a treed, hillside landscape, back patio and both flower and vegetable gardens. We share household tasks and projects, staple foods and some meals per week, and appreciate our awe-inspiring views of Vancouver, English Bay and Coast Mountains. We host occasional potlucks and gatherings with our social groups, and are noted for our warm, harmonious atmosphere of caring and fun people.
