Located about ninety miles north of New York City, the Mount Community is situated on the western bank of the Hudson River among rolling hills, farm fields, and woods. It is the home for the Mount Academy, a private high school started in 2012. Most of the families and adult singles who live here work to support the high school, which has approximately two hundred students who bus in from other Bruderhof communities and the local area.
