We are a 148-acre diversified regenerative agricultural farm in Orange Springs, Florida. We live in a natural central Florida ecosystem with wild pigs, deer, and turkey roaming the property and wildflowers growing all around. Ocala National Forest, Salt Springs, and the Ocklawaha River are all within a short drive from the farm. We’re building a CSA program and have the intent to rewild, to connect to the land. We began our journey a year ago, and what an adventure it has been. We look to fill missing trophic niches as we steward the land. Thus, we have a few dairy cows, a small beef herd, several chickens, are beginning food forestry, we also have just broken ground on the market garden.
The farm has just started picking up momentum, but we have a multi-colored vision: vegetable, dairy, and meat production flowing through the community; shared agriculture, workshops, a farm store, and varied farming and healing modalities. These plans are developing.
Our current living arrangements are basic: we use solar power. We share an outdoor kitchen, drink spring water, and sleep in tents/primitive structures.
Generally, farm activities tend to include weeding, planting, learning, harvesting, foraging,
natural building, fencing, clearing, gathering, animal tending, and cooking. Tasks are done in a total of 25 hours –5 hours, 5 days a week. We love nature, work hard, and have a strong focus, while practicing self care. Permaculture design education is provided if that’s your groove! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
