Deck Family Farm is a diversified livestock farming community, practicing regenerative agriculture and intentional community building, seeking to add more families with children!
Our farm was started by John and Christine Deck. Several of their five adult children are involved with daily aspects of the farm and one also lives on the property with her husband and 3 yo daughter. Other community members include a farm manager and his family and 5-10 intern and apprentices.
We:
❖ Value Farm and Nature based education
❖ Value the importance of including children of all ages in our daily lives, and encourage them to engage with chores
❖ Value Waldorf educational and lifestyle values such as no to low media/screens as well as homeschool and unschool
❖ Have a desire to build a permanent community of farm workers and managers, provided we find the right families.
❖ Value the importance of medical freedom and proactive health
❖ Have omnivorous and animal inclusive diets
❖ Have flexibility in our values and value a community of people with diversified backgrounds
We do require all community members to work 32+hours on the farm, for pay.
