I’m writing this on May 24, 2020, and the coronavirus pandemic has prompted changes in the way we do things… as you know.
I believe that we will come out of this without our societal norms being changed in a big way. I’m an optimist, I guess. Meanwhile,
I’m a bit touch-deprived, as are most of us. But, I’m off-topic. I’d like to join with like-minded adults (no children, please) to purchase rural property (10 to 15 acres… more, perhaps) within 75 miles to the north of Houston, Texas, in order to live together in a cooperative and nonhierarchical manner, sharing our resources, gardening and living in accordance with organic and permaculture principles. I appreciate, and try to practice, Nonviolent Communication. I appreciate the governing principles of Sociocracy, and should we decide to form a business cooperative, believe that Sociocratic ways of governing that body would be a great way to go.
On a personal note, I’m 64 years old, am a bisexual man, and consider polyamory an intriguing way to relate to people. I’m not suggesting that we form a love nest of bi, poly people (I did mention that I’m a bit touch-deprived, didn’t I?), but I’m hoping that you don’t have phobias regarding bisexuality, religion (I’m pagan) polyamory, race (I’m white. Don’t hold it against me!), and flawed people, in general. (I’ve made some very poor decisions in the past, hence–I’m flawed. How about you? That’s stuff we can discuss at some point.)
I’ve got some ideas about using a mobile home as a base of operations, but in an enhanced manner. I like yurts, too. And, sure, a big Green house would be nice, but–hey–we’ve got land, infrastructure–beyond something to live in) tools, seed, and baby trees to
purchase: a big old house isn’t high on my list of priorities. (More later. We need to talk!)
Let me just end with this: I’d like to find good men and women to live, work, talk, sing, dance and dream with. If you’re a nice person, I’d enjoy talking with you.
Peace to you,
Denzial
